String class

String class is a non-primitive data because only class has the method, the characteristics found in the class, and not found in primitive data types. A string is an object that stores the location where the actual value is located. Unlike the primitive data type, strings are not defined by the programming language, instead are defined by the programmer. Furthermore, the strings cannot be changed once created; hence they are immutable, though one can change the reference to the object. In contrast, the primitive data type is not an object; it specifies the size and variable values. It is pre-defined by the programming language.
