D. Literature review – Identifies the uses of the concept You will examine the use of the concept in at least two disciplines other than nursing and the use of the concept in nursing and your own nursing experience. Criteria for Concept Analysis Paper
Guidelines and Grading Criteria
There is a very structured grading rubric that will provide explicit directions about each of these grading criteria. I’ve included the first column of the rubric below in the syllabus. The grading rubric can be accessed by clicking on Concept Analysis Paper in the dropbox. [This software does not allow me to put the entire grading rubric here as it appears in the dropbox nor can I link you to it in the dropbox from this site because it would be a link to a link]. In other words, please go to the dropbox and see it before you start writing this paper.
Please note: When you submit papers to the dropbox, it will give you a TURNITIN score. Faculty will not read any paper with a TURNITIN score higher than 25%. What does a “TURNITIN” score mean? TURNITIN scans your paper against published papers, submitted papers, and the Internet. It is looking for word for word phrases, sentences. A score of 25% means that 25% of the paper was written somewhere else. Hopefully, all of that is quoted and has quotation marks. Otherwise, the paper is plagiarized. [If you have not used TURNITIN before in this software, please see the tutorial in Getting Started. This tutorial will show you exactly what you have used that is word for word from another source and it will tell you the source].
Note: Late penalty=5 points/day
A maximum total of 5 points will be deducted for APA errors. If the paper is longer than the maximum allowable pages, the grade will be based upon the first 12 pages, not including the title page).
Note: There is a 5 point/day late penalty.
IF your professor allows you to re-write this paper, the grading scale for a rewritten paper begins at 87% and must be resubmitted within one week. Papers without evidence of substantive work and a good faith effort will not be allowed to be rewritten for a higher grade.
