Sucrafil O gel
Sucrafil O gel is an oral suspension containing Sucralfate and Oxetacaine. Sucrafil O is used to treat ulcers and prevent the reoccurrence of ulcers in the stomach and intestine. It also provides relief from pain and heartburn associated with acid reflux and inflammation in the stomach. This medicine can be used by adults and is not recommended to use for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. This medicine should not be used for patients with severe kidney-related disorders. Sucrafil O gel should be taken as per the recommended dose before eating a meal. Side effects such as dryness in the mouth, diarrhoea, increased thirst, loss of appetite, and dizziness may occur while using this medicine. In case you experience any of the side effects, or you feel any discomfort after using this medicine, you should contact your doctor immediately.
For the treatment of ulcers in the stomach and intestine, it prevents the reoccurrence of ulcers and relieves stomach pain and heartburn due to inflammation in the stomach.
Sucrafil O gel is a combination of Sucralfate and Oxetacaine
Sucralfate protects the digestive tract from the damaging effects of acids in the stomach, alcohol, and medicinal substances like Aspirin and promotes the healing of ulcers
Oxetacaine acts as a local anaesthetic and provides relief from the pain associated with ulcers
If you are allergic to Sucarlfate or Oxetacaine or any of the other ingredient of this medicine

Shake well before use
Take the recommended dose before food
Sucrafil O gel may interact with other medicines and produce an altered response. Please tell your doctor if you are using any other medicines, over-the-counter medicines (that you buy without a prescription) and herbal preparations
Concomitant use of Anti-ulcer medicines like Cimetidine and Ranitidine with Sucrafil O gel decreases the effect of anti-ulcer medicines
Medicine used for heart failure such as Digoxin, antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin, antifungal medicines such as Ketoconazole and medicine used to treat irregular heartbeats such as Quinidine may interact with Sucrafil O gel
The effect of Levothyroxine, a medicine used in case of reduced thyroid hormone levels, is decreased when used with Sucrafil O gel
The effect of Antibiotics known as Tetracyclines like Minocycline is decreased when used with this medicine
This medicine can decrease the effect of Theophylline which is used for asthma and breathlessness when used concomitantly
Sucrafil O decreases the effect of Phenytoin which is a medicine used to control fits when used together
Store at room temperature
Keep it away from sunlight and heat
Keep away from children and pets
The overdose of Sucrafil O gel may result in symptoms like stomach pain, vomiting, dizziness and fainting. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
