Subject: Sugar Ban for healthy lives
The research paper will aim to show that if the government imposed a sugar ban, people will lead healthy lives and live for long. Sugar has been known to cause obesity and cause tooth decay when taken in high portions (more than sixteen ounces in a drink). Obesity is a condition brought about by energy imbalance in terms of what one takes in versus what he spends. This leads to the storage of fats in the body organs. This results in people falling sick, thereby raising the health care costs in the county.
If prices of sugary products went high, people are likely to consume less of these products, and this could better out health and diets. Additionally, eating natural foods and regular exercise should be encouraged. There should,, therefore,, be education programs that will help people to eat well.
Sugar and sugary products are not the only contributors to unhealthy diets. Intake of salt, saturated fats and high-calorie dairy products have also greatly affected peoples’ health. Consumption of a lot of salt, for example, has been attributed to high blood pressure in the body. Ban on sugary products might therefore send a wrong message to the public that sugar was the only unhealthy product.
Additionally, it is hard to point out the sugar-dose relationship between sugar and obesity. This relationship differs among different individuals. It therefore makes it hard to increase taxes on sugar and sugary products.
High pricing on sugary products could lead low-income families into going for other options which could be expensive, unhealthy and sometimes inconvenient.
In the research paper I will endvur to show the pros and cons of sugar ban. I hope you willfind this proposal appropriate and that it meets the requirements.
