Suicide and Disparity of Death Cases
Learning Objective 1: Suicide
Suicide is the act of a person wanting to end their life because of various reasons or circumstances. The rate of suicide cases in the United States has enormously has risen over the years. Socially related problems cause such cases. They include relationship Ranges, working environment problems and also family-related disputes. Such issues in the community cause such individuals to fall in depression and may cause suicide attempts which some are unfortunately committed. The topic of suicide is quite vital in any society as it touches both genders that are why I chose to write about.
The Interest behind This Topic
Suicide is a community-based issue that caught my attention and the want to learn more about the particular matter. There are worrying statistics about suicide cases in the United States. Research recently has shown that the rate of suicide cases increase rapidly over the years. The male gender, unfortunately, leads the story as they commit suicide in large number.
The statistics also show that male gender does not embrace mental health precautions. The men often are faced with various challenges that in their workplaces and homes as they are the breadwinners in their families. Unfortunately, they do not open up to others or seek psychological pieces of advice but rather carry the load themselves. Their female counterparts, on the other hand, open to their friends and they solve issues that bother them; hence they reduce the mental pressure that they face.
Suicide, as a social issue, can be quickly addressed. The male gender should have a wakeup call and consult widely about their issues and open up to other people. The young people should also be well counselled on relationship matters as many cases nowadays relate to relationship differences between young couples.
Learning Objective 2: Death of Despair
Death of despair is simply the decrease in the economic and social well-being of an individual. The term is quite popular in the United States and is generally referred to as the killing of the American dream. Death of despair among individuals in the United States enormously increased over the years. This is because of the loss of jobs by the people, especially in the manufacturing and agricultural sector. Death of despair is a fascinating topic that elaborates more on why American’s give up their dreams; that is why I chose to write about it.
The people sadly lost their jobs due to technological advancements. The loss of their sources of income brought about the disparity in life and some led to broken relationships, marriages and even led to suicide cases. This, unfortunately, led to the killing of the American dream succeeding of the typical American.
The Interest behind the Topic of Death of Despair
The topic of the death of despair among American society quite interested me. This is because various statistics involving community-related issues show that many Americans have lost hope of making it in life. This is because of the loss of jobs and other socially related challenges that they face. The sad part is that majority despair and ends up doing this that may later regret in life.
Reaction to the Technological Advances Made In Artificial Intelligence
Significant achievements have been made in the technological industry. The development of robotic machines that have intelligence can work as human beings are quite amusing. Such technology can utilize in various sectors to make work easier. A good example is in the transport sector they can be used in controlling traffic.
Death and Dying Stage of Life Concerning Artificial Intelligence
The view I hold about death and dying theory and the development of artificial intelligence is quite precise. The development of artificial technology is a blessing in disguise. This is because it makes works easier in various sectors but on the other hand, destroys careers. Many individuals that were employed in multiple industries and farms have lost their jobs as the employers replace the workforce with machines. Therefore I hold the view that technology should be developed, but it should not destroy the lives of the human race.
Family Caregivers
Family caregivers are individuals who are employed to look after older adults who are almost dying or suffering from chronic diseases. Statistics from the United States show that twenty-nine percent of the population workforce is family caregivers. They do a nobble job of taking care of the old and vulnerable in society. Unfortunately, they are not well appreciated for the work that they do. The reason I chose to discuss this topic is the person who works as caregivers are not well understood and recognized yet they play a crucial role in society.
The Interest behind the Topic Family Caregivers
The theme of family caregiving is quite impressive. The female gender mostly dominates the sector. This is because of their nature and passion for taking care of other people. Unfortunately, most of the individuals who are employed as caregivers are non-skilled works. They face challenges like physical abuse from the people they are looking after.
The job description of caregiving is quite demanding. A caregiver will find themselves emotionally attached to the people they serve. They are paid reasonably, thus enable them to support their relative back at home. The market demand for caregivers grows by the day as many individuals are getting into late adulthood stages and chronic diseases continue to prevail fiercely. Medically trained caregiver is very few thus leading to an increase in the death toll of the elderly individuals in the society who require their services.
