To have an innovative community, there is a need to look at how decisions impact society and the economy. The arrangements must adhere to the law without corruption. Lastly, is the organization should improve the environmental conditions and make proper utilization of resources.

Amongst the decisions and changes implemented in the transportation field, environmental justice is one of them. In the aim of attaining environmental justice, the department of transportation in the US created an agency that aims at improving transportation projects. The case study observed in the Needs Assessment Study. There had grown unusual traffic during peak hours, leading to rising in congestion and crash. The project faced several issues since it isolated 4000 citizens. Most citizens in Allied drive are poor and don’t own a car. The high traffics made walking and bicycling even dangerous. There was a case where a young girl was killed in 1998. There were persistent efforts made to improve their lives, but most of them were hesitant until interviews were made to convince them. A council was formed where the residents’ issues would be directly addressed. Eventually, the principles were adopted to inform and educate the public. This step managed to build trust between government officials and members.

It is clear that to have a healthy lifestyle; there is a need for physical exercise. Since the design of the neighbourhood affects how frequent people get involved in outdoor exercise. The streetlight, access to transit and sidewalks developed by the transportation sector have ha positive relationship with every day’s physical activity. Most people use such areas o do exercise. Most people prefer not to walk in that don’t have safety amenities. It is not clear yet if safety amenities help reduce the obesity problem, but it makes the situation better.

Thereexists a significant relationship between social interactions and both mental and physical health. A social network is essential for human health. People with no social ties are likely to get diseases such as heart disease and stroke. These people are expected to die faster than those with social relations. Through exercising, being around many people riding and walking brings a positive feeling. The theory means that walking along the road is more than physical health; it forms relationships making the members feel at home. Statistics show that people love being around a place where there is safe walking, jogging and bicycling. Generally, transportation plays an essential role in improving mental and physical health.
- In terms of sustainable transportation, discuss the economic, ecological/environmental and social perspectives of sustainability.
The economy is affected by decisions made in the transportation sector. They include; business activity, employment levels in future and tax burdens. On the other side, any climate changes, aesthetics and biodiversity are crucial areas in future triggered by the decisions made today in the transportation sector. The decisions will affect the society, accessibility, state and cultural resources and equality. There is a need for recognition of consequences before making any decisions yet. This calls for sustainable development whereby a society can meet its present needs without compromising the needs of the future generation. The transportation sector has the responsibility of figuring out tomorrow’s costs which is hard to tell. Recycling materials is one of the most implemented initiatives.at the moment; several resources are used in the maintenance of capacity levels with less attention resulting in pollution. The lanes added to the road don’t improve but harm pedestrian lives. With the overall efficiency in the transport system, thereis reduced travel times. To have a fully sustainable transport system, if the terminology of the transport sector is made clear while reflecting the real value of actions.
- Explain which concept of the paper interested you the most and why
Health and safety fascinated me since most people in America have not emulated doing physical exercises necessary for a healthy lifestyle. I have learnt that most of these chronic diseases are a result of being unfit or not doing enough exercise. This concept has made me learn several factors affecting outdoor exercise. Above all, it is interesting that sidewalks not only protect pedestrians from injuries but give them a platform for physical activity.

I am honest and impartial while dealing with my boss and clients in a public scenario. I have had cases where I was caught up in situations that clients made me compromise my profession to their advantage. Being a professional, I had to choose the safety and health of the entire society while performing duties.

Education and accreditation; I wasn’t aware that ethical knowledge is relevant and should be instilled at childhood. For a morally upright society, I have learnt that plagiarism and cheating should be get done away with. With this, we can have a college with ethical codes of conduct.

City phoenix; I am a factual person, and this code means that whatever is right is legal. I like it because it provides room for doubt, cross-checking if it’s a good thing and checking if it feels okay. I am a sucker for morality, and thus city phoenix points out that anything illegal is unethical.
