Summary of the reasons for my decision
Taiga Shield ecozone is
one of the unique ecozones in Canada. It is a habitat for a variety of wildlife
ranging from tall trees along its northern margin, lichen woodlands, arctic
tundra, coniferous and deciduous trees, and mixed woodlands. Moreover, it is
also home to various representative mammals and birds. Its richness in
wildlife, beautiful scenery and its national importance make it a good location
for a national park. Furthermore, the average precipitation, its proximity to
large water bodies and the favourable climates make it suitable for a national
park. Since Canadian national parks are designed to protect natural systems,
minimize activity or uses that may be harmful to natural systems and offer
educational, spiritual, recreational and scientific activities for those who
visit the country, Taiga shield ecozone with its plenty of natural resources
need to be protected from activities that may otherwise harm its natural
resources such as forest, mammals and birds. Furthermore, since the scenic values
and the tourism potential of a place are some factors to consider for the
choice of the park area, Taiga shield offers several features that make it
tourism potential are and also has scenery values.
