Superman Vs. Achillies
Superman and Achillies hold a lot of similarities on paper as they are regarded to be invicible, and have a lot of strength. In addition, both heroes are perceived to be proud and determined, at some point, they are misguided by their pride. Further, it is evident from their nature that they have a weakness. Where Achilies weakness is his heel, Superman’s lies on the effect that Kryptonite has on him. In the battle field, Achilies’ power and invincibility made him the most powerful warrior, on the other hand, Superman’s superiority, authority and power make him one of the most powerful heroes in the DC universe.
Achilies fame as a Greek hero rose during his role in the Trojan War. Even though he had so much power and strength, he was not born with it. The power was given to him when his mother dipped him in River Styx with an aim of making him immortal. While dipping him in the water, his mother held Achillies by the heel, and as a result it did not touch the water, making it his weakness.
Superman on the other hand came to earth from planet Krypton, where his parents decided on saving his life. They sent him to earth, where he was raised as Clark Kent. In the years of his growth, he realized his power and even though he did not know his origin he was aware earth was not his home. Soon after his maturity, he comes to terms with his past and is made aware of the cause for his power and strength. The earth’s yellow sun gave him the power, however, while on earth, Krypronite a green metal from his planet could cause him harm.
Superman’s and Achillies’s power and strength make them invincible heroes of their time and served the people in a just and positive manner. Their similarities present them as great people of their time, whose power and strength made them save those around them.
