Technological industries face myriads of challenges when it comes to adaptation to change due to large steps made in technological advancements. This is further influenced by issues such as a change in consumer taste and preferences that require the companies to be more creative and develop new technology to suit these changes. An effective and efficient management system in an industry is crucial in ensuring continuous change in the organization. The management has a vital role in this process of leading the employees through this fragile period of change (Wait et al., 2018). Certain factors need to be considered: first is appealing to emotion and creating awareness. Management should be in a position to consider the employees’ emotions concerning the changes and take note of their opinions towards it. Second, the employees need to be guided and trained to adapt to the new changes. Lastly, incentives are provided to encourage the employees by rewarding exemplary work to reinforce the change by motivating them.
Question 2
I understand that change is constant and inevitable, but my reaction to change is dependent on the change initiative. If the change being implemented has a positive result, then I will fully support it but if otherwise, then it is a no for me. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to change because not all change is bad, sometimes change is for the better. When it comes to adapting to changes, I usually rely on a positive attitude, hard work, and consistency. A positive attitude enables one to look at the change in a good way and embrace it. Attitude towards a certain change is important as it provides room for flexibility. Hard work, on the other hand, creates room for learning the necessary skills and knowledge. Adapting to change can be a difficult process that requires an individual to work hard and persevere to overcome certain obstacles. Consistency helps to incorporate the change into the normal work culture.
