Testing of the null hypothesis
To be able to test if there is a relationship or no relationship between two different variables, the formulation of a null hypothesis is essential. The statistical hypothesis formed from the research question is; there is a high relationship between technological development and security threats in the aviation industry. To be able to test the null hypothesis, you must first state the hypothesis. In this case, the hypothesis is, there is a high relationship between technological advancement and security threats in the aviation industry. After stating the null hypothesis, then the determination of the significance level is necessary. Thus, for this study, the significance or confidence level is 5% or 0.05. In the next step, using the statistical calculation of Chi-Square as there are only two variables involves; technological advancement and security threats, the relationship between the two variables is calculated. After that, the decision rule is formulated; in this case, the decision rule will be, if the chi-square calculated is higher than 0.05, then the null hypothesis is rejected. What follows next is making the decision based on the decision rule. The decision can be, Since the Chi-square calculated is higher than 0.05, then we reject the null hypothesis. Lastly, a conclusion is made, wherein this case, the conclusion can be that there is no relationship between technological advancement and security threats in the aviation industry.
Thus, testing of null hypothesis follows sic distinct steps, which are; formulation of the null hypothesis, determination of the significance or confidence level, calculation of the relationship between variables using Chi-square, drafting of the decision rule, making of the decision and then lastly, forming a conclusion. For a finding to be termed statistically significant, hence, the above six steps should be followed.

In examining the implications of the study, conduction of this research will pave the way to other researchers who will be interested in engaging in study on factors leading to security threats in the industry of aviation. The findings of this research will serve as a stepping stone hence acting as a motivation to other researchers as well as establishing an advanced amount of literature. As the scholarly world is large enough, this research aims at opening doors for other more advanced studies.
The study will also be of considerable significance to policy formulators at the federal and state government level. The findings of this study will identify several niches that exist in regulations on technologies hence leading to security threats in aviation. Thus, the policymakers, been aware of the policy gap, will be able to make policies that aim at governing various forms of technological advancement.
The research will also be of enormous implication to the aviation industry itself. This study finding will help the industry to identify the niche that may be existing in their structures. This way, the industry will be able to develop appropriate mitigation strategies to bring security threats to an end.
The study will be of considerable significance to the suppliers of various technologies in the aviation industry. Given that the technology used by the attackers might be much more reliable than the technology that is in possession by the aviation industry, the formulation of even more advanced methods is necessary. Thus, with this study pointing out the various technological development, the supplier firms will be able to up their game, thus making a technology that would make the aviation industry to be more secure.
