The Amazon forest
The Amazon forest is among the biggest in the world with diverse species of plants and animals. It is also a habitat to people and a significant contributor to the restoration of climatic change. According to the picture, various observations can be made. To begin with, the forest is distributed in multiple countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, among others. This shows several areas that are affected by the biodiversity distribution of the forest. From the map, we can also cite the indigenous territories and protected areas. Indigenous lands are those that do not face the risk of exploitation as opposed to protected areas (Mongabay, 2014). there are also territorial reservations and proposed regional reservation places that are few in space in the various countries. The fields are assumed to be a high risk to loss of biodiversity attribute to the reservations.
The distribution of natural vegetation of the Amazon forest helped me to understand that the distribution of biodiversity is significant in influencing the climatic conditions of places and the economic activities carried out by people for a living. The performance of the ecosystem regarding the climate is also determined by the distribution of biodiversity since places that have vast forests are witnessed to receive more rain as compared to those with fewer forests. Areas with forests tend to be calmer and have more animal species as compared to those without the forests or have smaller areas that are covered.
