The art of speech making requires the speaker to demonstrate a remarkable mastery of the subject issue and deliver it in a manner that captivates the interest of the audience. The speaker needs to demonstrate a high level of confidence about the expositions made on the subject matter. For the speaker to be confident, and to speak without faltering, he/she must have substantial knowledge of the subject matter. Additionally, there is a need to illustrate to the audience about his/her credibility on the subject matter by providing illustrations and examples of what is being talked about instead of giving generalizations. It is imperative to understand the audience and move along with their interests.
The speaker can showcase his/her credibility by talking with unmistakable authority. In this regard, it pays for the speaker to allude to other people who have dealt with similar subjects whether the previous speakers are known to the audience or not. Creativity is a crucial way of making the audience to stay interested. In this regard, a successful speech ought not to be plain descriptions. I would constantly alter the delivery to suit the gravity of the content. Figurative speech is an effective way of sustaining creativeness and allure of a speech (0). Therefore, I would use different aspects of figurative speech. Incorporating stories within the major narrative is fruitful in the goal of being creative.
