My research project is based on the argument that with the advancement in everything in today’s world, will there be a possibility that the digital currency will replace the paper currency. After conducting the research on the research question and observing the present time conditions, I supported the idea that yes, the digital money will replace the paper money one day. For conducting research, I go through a lot of literature available on Google Scholar. All the sources I mentioned in my research outline are reliable and credible. One of the research articles, that cleared my concept about the digital money was “The promise and Perils of digital currency.” Tyler Moore wrote the research article.
Tyler Moore is the Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Southern Methodist University, Texas. The Professor’s research interest is on the topics related to the economics of information security, cybercrimes. Moore researched cybercrimes and introduce policies to strengthen the security systems in his research articles. Moore’s research work also explained that exchanging paper currency with digital currency often get failed, and there is a need for security systems. Moore is the Professor and the Director and Vice President of the International Financial Cryptography Association (IFCA) and Vice-Chairman of a group called IFIP 11.10, the working group on critical infrastructure protection.
The writer’s research background and in-depth research on digital money and all the related economy is the first proof of research authenticity and credibility. The article was published in Volume 6 of Journal ” International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection” from page 147 to 149. The journal was launched in 2008 and only published the highest quality scholarly research papers. The articles published in the journal belongs to all the areas explicitly related to critical infrastructure protection. The journal is officially the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP), whose vice-chairman is Tylor Moore. The impact factor of the journal is 2.47 (2018-2020). The citation score of the journal is 4.4. All the details regarding the journal show that the research articles published in the journal ” International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection” are all credible.
The research article “The promise and Perils of digital currency” by Tylor Moore threw the light on both the benefits and drawbacks of the digital currency. The article is short and precise, explaining why the increasing interest of the world is moving towards the digital currency. He discussed the risks of using digital currency like hacking and money laundering by criminals. And as always, he suggested the solutions for the problems like introducing the security systems that can make the use of digital currency safe. Thus, the article of Tylor Moore described the whole topic on digital currency in a very organized and precise manner. The article put light on the famous arguments on digital currency usage. He had not used any references in his article that is the indication of a strong grip and knowledge of the writer on the topic. The article is the best representation of my topic, and i used a specific apart of his article for counterarguments in my research work as the article discussed all the arguments against the digital currency in a very simple and precise manner along with their solution.

Answer 1: The first question that came into mind before evaluating the credibility of the source was that what is the research background of the writer Tylor Moore. As the writer research background shows his credentials and how much we can trust his statements and findings—secondly, the name and impact factor of the research journal in which it is published. So i kept all the things in mind and started evaluating the credibility of source i used for my research. The year of publication is essential in finding the usefulness of the research article.

Answer 2: I have used this method of source credibility evaluation for the first time. By credibility evaluation of source, i came to know the importance of sources in the research work. The evaluation method is beneficial in making the arguments stronger with the help of reliable evidence from a credible source.
