The autonomy principle
The autonomy principle gives power to a patient to make any medical decision involving him/her. This is critical, especially since different people have different values and beliefs that may play a role in the decision-making process. This includes religion, culture, and other factors.
God is the protector and healer of men from all physical and spiritual danger. When faced with problems, and we pray, He determines when and how He will answer us. No matter what our plans are, he ultimately has the word on when He answers. Therefore, in the medical context, the doctor knows more than the patient and is aware of the intricacies involved. It may be right for the decision to be in the hands of a medical practitioner due to such.
Nonmaleficence emphasizes that there should be no harm to both the patient and any other members of the society that might be affected in whatever decision. Christianity views that every man should strive to do good to another in everything.
Christianity emphasizes on a just society where everyone despite social class, wealth, color, etc. is seen as equal to the eyes of the creator. That will include every other aspect of living including in medicine. That there should be fairness in the distribution of medical resources and knowledge (University G. C., 2019).
