“The Birth of Rama” “The Abduction”
A highly unexpected and usual incident unceremoniously disrupts Rama’s life of privilege, comfort and universal adoration, and achievements, his successes in defeating the evil monsters in the forest, his marriage to Sita, and his succession to the throne. The impediment to his succession to the throne is but the start of Rama’s trials and tribulations. Rama experiences betrayals and hardships for which he is unprepared for and that are uncalled for. Rama, however, accepts his fate with quiet dignity. In the midst of all this, we get to see that his stepmother fully plots Rama’s woes since he was exiled together with Sita’s brother and his brother for 14 years. After the exile, they headed to the forest for refuge until Ravana abducted Sita. Ravana was the second character who was responsible for Rama’s Plight. Rama is wise, vicious, and powerful; he has an undying motivation towards his goals. Throughout the tales, we get to see that Rama has a Positive attitude and he fights back for all the things he believes in, and he does not seek to go back to hurt those who did hurt him.
Rama unruffled accepts his fate because he has nothing he can to change the vow that was made and sealed years ago. I believe he did the right thing by taking his future because at the moment, he was doing only what was right and following the wishes of his elders. He was obedient. After Rama returns to their kingdom together with Sita, he finds out that she is missing and sets out to search for her along with a troop of monkeys and he soon rescues her. Onwards after this event, his life’s fate is reversed. Sita finally proves her innocence from the accusations heaped on her, and they return to the Kingdom where Rama becomes the King. Because of adhering to the principle of dharma, his rule becomes ideal. Everyone in this era does his/her dharma, and the fathers in the kingdom do not have to light the funeral pyres for their sons.
