The governments are focusing more on industrial and commercial development rather than development in the health sector. More research should be put into diabetes. More funding should be set aside for buying of diabetic drugs and diagnostic equipment. Moreover, training programs should be well funded to ensure the continued training of diabetes specialists.

If governments and individuals focused on health issues with the same zeal they focus on buildings and commercialization of urban areas, then many diseases will be well managed.
