The counseling career
I would respect the diversity that the client has brought to the counseling; therefore, guides by my responsibility of enhancing the welfare of an individual by promoting their dignity, I would seek training on the subject area. Due to the complexity of the counseling career, periodic training and learning are paramount for effectively meeting current and emerging needs in the society, further contributing to career and personal growth. During the training, I would draft an approach that entailed questions and statements that ensured I remained, which I would share with my trainer for approval. It is also essential for me to seek
, although not direct control, to ensure that the client is comfortable during the counseling session enabling us to build on trust; hence the client is open in discussing the issues. The indirect supervision will help me revisit previous counseling sessions and explore the objectives and approaches used, thus helping me to plan for the next counseling session, learn from the mistakes of the past and embrace my strengths in counseling. Finally, I would conduct in-depth research on the conflicting moral belief to better understand the client and discredit the stereotypes I have towards the indifference. Enabling me to suppress my emotions and letting my brain dominate the counseling session.
