The existence of God
The existence of God has been a subject that has raised concerns for a long time as many people believe of the existence of a supreme being that controls the universe while others believe that human beings have control over the universe. People argue that the existence of the world and it’s natural physical features revolve around a supreme being known as God. The earth has been designed in such a way that it can support life. For instance, we have the required atmospheric pressure for liquid water and life started on it’s own and has sustained itself for a very long time before we even existed. Atheists on the other hand claim that the different religions claim that there is a supreme being yet they make claims that contradict one another hence there is no God. Atheists also claim that people choose to belong to a particular religion because they were brought up in a set up where they were supposed to believe in His existence or because they were in a particular fantasy. This article is going to highlight the different arguments on the existence of God.
I agree with the fact that people are free to believe what they want and that what we believe affects our day to day activities. It is therefore reasonable to believe something for which scientific evidence is lacking. There is a higher consciousness that pervades the earth to which we are connected and that consciousness is God. There have been numerous cases of miracles that scientists have been unable to explain for instance, there have been miracles that even doctors were unable to explain. An example is when there was a man who was diagnosed with cancer stage 4 and could not eat solid food for a long period of time. He however decided to renovate his church before he died. As he was renovating his church, his health kept on improving until he got to a point whereby he could eat solid food and was healed completely. This incident shook his doctor because there are rare cases of people getting healed of cancer stage 4. Another case of the existence of God is the famous incident that occured in Campinas, Brazil where a group of friends went to pick their friend while drunk. The mother of the the friend that was getting picked urged the daughter to travel with God and the daughter answered her mother saying that God should travel in the trunk. Later on, they were involved in an accident where everyone died and tge eggs that were in the trunk were all intact. Therefore I believe that God exists.
I disagree with the claim that there is no God and that if He existed, He would have given us the evidence of His existence. I also disagree with the statement that we are on our own. We cannot be able to control this universe because there are things that are beyond our control. For instance, we cannot be able to control death no matter how hard we try. The four seasons are not as a result of any man’s work but they are controlled by God. There have also been many cases of people who denied that God existed and this led to their demise. For instance the captain of the Titanic said that the ship could not be sank by even God himself but it later on sank and many people died. Therefore, we can control some things but others are beyond our control. Therefore, we need to include God in our plans.
I believe in the existence of a supreme being known as God. Who left a guide known as the Bible for us to read and to know more about Him. I believe that He sent His son to die for our sins so that we might be born again.I believe that He talks to us via dreams, his prophets and pastors. God has compassion for human beings thus, He forgives us of our sins. God controls this universe, everything and everyone that is in the universe. I believe in eternal life after death and in judgement where some people will go to hell and othwrs to heaven according to their actions here on earth. What one believes does not have to be true because it only affects them.
