The extent to which ancient creation myths still influence people, and how this affects their acceptance of new scientific theories

A creation myth is an emblematic chronicle of how the world originated and how people first came to dwell. The ancient creation myths have an enormous influence on the people’s edge of reference because at the substance of nearly every ethos is a creation parable that tends to explain how the phenomena of the earth came to be and exist the way they are up to date. They affect the way societies contemplate the world and their place concerning the environments. Despite being separated by various topographical barriers, many cultures have developed creation myths with the same essential elements. For example, many ancient creation myths begin with the birth theme that is life starts at birth since birth commemorates new life and the new beginning of life on the universe. The reason for this being the life of a child is linked to the idea of a mother-father existing in the creation of the world. Creation myths have got great magnitude on people since they often share several features. They are considered sacred accounts and can be found nearly all known religious traditions; hence, they believe God’s name created a supreme being.

The creation of myths does affect people’s acceptance of new scientific theories since it can only lead them into false and insignificant reasoning. For example, the scientific evolution theory of the world’s origin is based on the assumption that the universe evolved out of existing atomic and subatomic particles, which by evolutionary combined to form the physical universe and our planet earth. Then human beings developed from apes like creatures to Homo sapiens. This makes it unrealistic for people to accept the notion of new scientific theories since they believe they were created by a supreme being called God.
