The Republican Party

The Republican Party has been in existence since the 19th century but the beliefs of the founders are reflected in the modern party policies. The term republican was established in 1792 by the supporters of Thomas Jefferson in an attempt to support his ideas. The Republican Party was created in 1850 and focused on protecting the interests of the citizens by promoting the establishment of policies based on traditional practices of the community. The party was the establishment by various political members, including former democratic members, Whig, and Free soil, in an attempt to fight against slavery in the region (Hershey, 2016). The modern Republican Party acts against the states’ policies and regulations that violate the traditional view of the community. The party recognizes the importance of including minority, religious practices, and the society views in policy formulation.

The Republican Party policies recognize the importance of including the minority in their policy formulations. For instance, the organization seeks to recruit several people from the minority groups such as African Americans. Since the establishment in 1850s, it was recognized to be constituted by purely white members. However, the Modern Republican Party promotes diversity and includes members from different regions (Hershey, 2016). However, this decision is faced by some challenges because of the racism between minority and majority groups. For instance, during the presidential election for 2016/2017, majority of the African American voters failed to support Hillary Clinton because they believed she was corrupt. The party is always committed to be antiracist but different views by the stakeholders and community members has become challenging in helping the party to achieve its goals.

The Party is always concerned with the implementation of policies that serve religious and traditional practices. Since its establishment, the party officials and stakeholders have been against federal policies that violate traditional society views and the establishment policies that go against religious practices. For instance, the decision by the democrats to support policies such as allowing abortion and same sex marriage has been challenged by several Republican Party members because these policies violate the traditional and religious practices of heterosexual marriage and abortion practices. Therefore, the LGBT community forms another minority group that is discriminated by the supporters of Republican Party. This decision is based on the fact that process is based on the fact that Republican Party supporters have been interested in supporting conservative policies and prevent transformation.

The Republican Party embraces policies that support both society and individual views for the benefits of the entire community. The various policies such as taxation and support of work policies are essential in enhancing the functioning of the community. For example, Republicans support the establishment of social programs and tax reduction of taxation as a way for stimulating the economy and personal economic freedom. The central idea for republicans is to support federal government policies that promote economic growth for individual and enhance the functionality of the community and strengthen the rights of every individual in the society (Party, 2018). In regards to membership in the party, each state and territory has a representative in the party. Therefore, the Republican Party is decentralized and has diversified representatives.

The Republican Party is decentralized and supports all the practices that serve the interests of the society. Since the establishment of the party, stakeholders have been acting conservatively. Similarly, the modern Republican Party prevents federal policies that violate the traditional practices and religious practices. This political stand explains the reason as to why the republicans are always against supporting the LGBT people and supporting policies that support organized prayers in public schools.
