The Sound Track of my Life
- Memories – Maroon 5
This song is my all-time favourite. I love the rhythm that ‘memories bring back memories.’ It brings both happy and sad memories; memories of cherished events, friends and everyone that has ever impacted and is still impacting life. This song makes me appreciate all the people around me because I know that someday I will be a memory in their memory, and they too could be a memory.

- That’s all I ask – Nina Simone.
This song reminds me of my mother’s counsel. As a kid, she loved playing this song while driving me to school. She always insisted to me that her love for me would forever be there and that nothing in this world would forever be good. All she asked for was love among relations, family and citizens.

- What Can I do – Sonny Parker
This song was one of my father’s favourite. It reminds me of the golden old days. My childhood memories were livened by such songs, though I did not really understand them when I was young. However, growing up, this song reminds me of my parents’ insurmountable love. In my life too, this song would radiate my passion for life and people that I care about.

- For the Good Time – Al Green
This song is for all my good times. It reminds me of all the transitions in every stage of my life. Eventually, it’s a constant reminder of my triumphs and failures, with the imprint that my achievements would not have been possible without my failures.

- Blue in Green – Miles Davis
This blend of jazz and slow rock has always been good for my crazy days. Days when I would not want to talk anything to anybody. Love it because of the instrumentation, especially the guitar and drum rolls.

Self-reflection
This test has been one of my best assignments. I felt like I was alive, watching the best thriller of all seasons. It made me reflect on my past, present and future. I could find myself smiling, yet at some point, I still felt my eyes clouding from tears. Simply nostalgic! Though it was hard deciding where to start from in the first place, I must admit that I enjoyed it and would love to do such an assignment again and again.
