The story between Juliet and Romeo
The story between Juliet and Romeo is often discussed when solving conflicts yet rarely understood. I am inclined to believe that this story sets a basis for understanding the harm that conflicts bring rather than good. To me, it is this basis that I would use when mediating between family feuds. Romeo and Juliet come from two families that conflict. On this matter, Romeo comes from the Montagues, whereas Juliet coms from the Capulets. The two individuals are in love, but they have to overcome several challenges, primarily due to the indifferences that their families share.
As I see it, their love story is short but also intense. The reason for this is because they remain in love despite the fierce enmity between their families. However, at the start f their love story, they were both unaware of the feuds. Regardless of that, Romeo is respectful to Juliet even after knowing about the dispute. Romeo goes on to say that Juliet’s beauty stands out from the crowd. The death of both Juliet and Romeo was a significant effect of the conflict between the two families. As I see it, no family had to through hard times of the pain resulting from the loss of your blood. Furthermore, these deaths do not justify the conflict in any way.
Apart from the deaths of Juliet and Romeo is the killing of Tybalt. In this scenario, there are significant deaths that occur as a result of the conflict. In this case, Tybalt kills a friend of Romeo. Tybalt’s description fits those of high tempered individuals that do not readily step into a fight. The killing of Romeo’s fiend fills him with the urge to revenge. Thus, he ends up stabbing Tybalt in the process. Another execution associated with the conflict is the death of Mercutio. I am inclined to believe that the conflict between the two families made it impossible for Romeo and Juliet to enjoy being together. On this matter, they act as a sacrifice that ends the feud, and this situation could be brought under control much earlier.
