Theatre Performance
- Introduction: Definition of terms, such as assessing the difference between antithesis, synthesis, and thesis. The section may also include a literature review of old, modern, and contemporary sources on thesis, synthesis, and antithesis; proper citations should be done.
- Character analysis: Begin by a basic introduction of the character, including a brief background of the character in the film/writing. Using direct quotes is recommended, but they must be well cited. An evaluation of individual characters according to their traits, including their behaviors, motivations, and actions. There are various types of characters, including the protagonist, antagonist, major, and even the stereotypical character. Ideally, many stories have a protagonist and antagonist; identifying both would be ideal.
- Evaluation of the characters according to the definitions above: antithesis, synthesis, and thesis.
- An analysis of unique contexts of characters’ plots which should mesh with the character, and be sequential according to the importance of the character in the film.
- Conclusion: summary of the key points in the piece. Personal opinions regarding the characters may also be included at this juncture and final remarks regarding individual characters in the literary or audio piece.
