The two GCU Library Scholarly databases that will support the EBP project include ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health source. This database offers a wide range of material required for nursing practice, alternative and complementary medicine as well as allied health. Any evidence-based project in nursing required some material about nursing or medicine, and they are readily available in this database as compared to Google Scholar or the general internet search. Besides, this database has more than 860 titles that are in full texts and more than 12,000 dissertations that can offer relevant information for an evidence-based proposal. The database also gives access to training tools, nursing material that is evidence-based as well as books that can be used for reference making it the best source as compared to another source.
The CINAHIL is another database which provided access to reliable and up-to-date information about nursing and other healthcare topics. The database support Evidence-Based practiced by providing high-quality, independent evidence that supports decision-making in healthcare. The library has several databases that contain various healthcare information making the site easier to use as compared to the general internet search.
The two databases offer students with access to nursing and medical articles that are necessary for use in the evidence-based proposal. The databases are more reliable and have an easy way to access evidence-based practice information without much struggle. The databases are specifically meant for medical articles and have more healthcare-related resources compared to Google Scholar and internet sources.
