Value proposition

I have learned several aspects of an industry internship that will contribute my knowledge and impact on a larger scale in terms of employment. I have addressed workplace business norms while ensuring the behaviour of team and employability skills. From the workshop and lecture notes, I have provided that I have made sufficient changes in my career life. Professional skills and expertise are the significant aspects that soft skills have been developed while several elements such as planning for the future, building effective business relationships, communication in the workplace, working in teams, leadership and developing a sustainable future (Reicher 2013). These aspects have improved my professional skills, and I have gained a strategy on how to increase team performance. I have been working in a group and have creative ideas that ensured the team performance. I have communication skills, professional skills, experience and a business degree that will help me to gain employment. I can solve the problems in an organization with the help of problem-solving techniques and manage workplace stress effectively. With the ability, I can make sure that the working environment will be positive, and I will work according to the organizational culture. The skills and experience that I have gained while learning this course have changed my professional goals, and I have been working to focus and deliver effective team results and have made a significant change in personal life.

With the communication, professional, presentation and team leading skills, the employer will hire me and not someone else. I am confident enough about the selection process that will help me to attain my career goals. From the workshop learning and weekly notes, I have gained knowledge about planning things in the business which will help in the implementation process while the workshop helped me to gain understanding about the future work, management consultant, team leading and building an ethical organization (Singh 2018). These are the aspects that I have learned in workshop one, which is planning for the future. These will help me to determine the importance of planning and will improve planning and plotting. I had participated in online activities and have made several discussions in class with the composition of the team members. In the second workshop, I have gained knowledge in building effective business relationships. I have learned the concept of an organization that is a network of contacts. It helped me to ensure that the workplace difference is felt, but it is essential to maintain a relationship with clients and customers. I have studied the role of conversation, which is useful in core technological aspects and ensured that there is a link towards the consulting cycle. There is individual and team instruction that is measured in the team-based proposal (Robles 2012). This has helped me to gain employability skills; thereby employers will select me for the skills and experience that I have learned in the workshop.

Team reflection

From the workshops and the weekly notes, I have known the importance of team building and how to increase team performance. While working in a team, I found that my team members were helpful and were interested in learning new aspects. I have gained the importance of team value because without a team, this would not have been possible for me to gain knowledge. In the team, we have discussed several aspects such as business values, time management, collaboration, and business norms. I have worked in a group to gain knowledge and work on creative ideas for achieving successful business skills. I have worked on activities that reflect effective team performance. As a team, we have discussed and worked on several activities such as story-telling, assessment, conversation for learning, discussion for the opportunity, conversation for progress, conversation for action, conversation for working relationship and communication for accountability. These aspects help to attain the skills and have ensured accomplishments in the form of reflecting the progress and achieving value appreciation (Pennington 2013). Effective actions are taken, and the promises are fulfilled in the team activity. Team performance has increased my employability skills which prove that I can handle the team and can ensure progress in my career while learning these activities.

As a team, we have learned several activities such as Bono’s Six thinking hats that symbolize different aspects of a different hat. These activities have helped us to solve the problems in our day-to-day lives and have helped us to learn the new elements. Considering the white hat, it indicates facts and information. Red hat shows the feelings of an individual. Yellow hat shows the positives that benefited at work. Black hat indicates weaknesses or negativity. Green hat indicates new ideas and solutions, while blue hat indicates thinking and planning on the next level. The experience of working in a team is a major important criterion in fulfilling several activities that were provided to us in the workshop and day to day tasks. From workshop two, I have learned the importance of working together in a team and achieving success. I have examined the role of a relationship that ensures an effective team-building strategy. I have developed intercultural relationships and worked on intercultural competencies. I have appreciated the principles of diversity and inclusion while working on the activities of diversity and inclusion. In this workshop, I have gained knowledge by using Hofstede’s cultural dimensions while comparing India and China’s cultural diversity.

Most Significant Change

The most significant change that I addressed in the learning from the workshop is the leadership aspect. From the leadership workshop, I have gained knowledge of problem-solving techniques and resolving ethical challenges in the workplace. Leadership skills are important as it helps to build positive energy in the organization. It is the leader who manages the moods and emotions of individuals in a team and solves problems in the organization. Thereby it leads to organizational performance. Being a good leader takes time and energy; thus I have engaged in the leading team while managing people at work. From the workshop five, I have gained the leadership skills and problem-solving attitude in the organization. It’s about working in a team and communicating in the organization which ensures coordination of action and things done to achieve organizational performance. There is an impact through resilience that is learned, which is a positive aspect that leaders follow in building the team and ensure problem-solving attitude (Matteson, Anderson & Boyden 2016).

I have learned in the workshop that there is an excellent impact of mistake, which helps leaders to learn and work in accordance. The error is a revenue for the organization, as it helps to save the organization from the next mistake (Bandaranaike 2018). To make an impact in my professional career, I will learn more about leadership skills, styles, and approaches that will benefit me to ensure the confidence and work towards organizational performance. To focus more on the area, I will research the leadership stories of great leaders such as Jack Ma, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. I will be optimistic while learning the theory and concepts while it will lead me to the most significant opportunity. I will learn to develop a career opportunity and can make things different from others. Fantastic ideas, durable will power, and confidence will help me to boost my leadership skill. Making a move and making the action will engage career goals and achieve professional skills (Sykes & Dean 2012).

Conclusion

The reflective essay includes the learning outcomes of the workshop and week activities. The workshop consists of business norms, values, and behaviour. There is immense knowledge and skills while performing and going through the exercises. The classroom activities and bridging weeks have helped to ensure the workshop goals. Planning for the future, building effective business relationships, communication in the workplace, working in teams, leadership and developing a sustainable future are included in the workshop.
