TOYOTA COMPANY OPERATION PROCESSES
Toyota company implements various operation processes that aid them in production. The company ensures TQM on its products for customer satisfaction. The company use Kaizen to ensure that all their processes are repeatable, visible and measurable. TQM is achieved through active participation within the organization by the use of follow-up measures (Coetzee, 77). The follow-up activities denote activities involved and required during the implementation stage of the set ideologies. TQM has been a success through the organizational workforce and executive management commitment. The company examines its customer feedback and put in place suitable measures for improving their products.
Lean production
Maintaining low levels of inventory has been vital in lean production. The company further use the low and simple tech of the production system contributes to lean production. The company further ensure there is constant improvement, strict adherence to the procedures, respect to their employees and eliminating problems has made the production at Toyota more efficient (“Lean Manufacturing Made Toyota The Success Story It Is Today | Investing In Our Economy”). The system taps the employee’s knowledge and provides them with adequate responsibility and training. Toyota capitalizes on the skills and talent of their employees to ensure continuous improvement. The task that needs special attention and expertise are attended to qualified employees to avoid quality issues. The company has a flexible manufacturing system that cops effectively with changes.
MRP
MRP is a system that is used to manage inventory designed to help in placing and scheduling orders. Toyota company use the MRP to schedule and place orders for their subassemblies, raw materials and component parts (Islam, Md Saiful, et al.). The process is used in handling complex bills and multiple items. The demand for materials is influenced by demand at the end of the production time.
