Training and development as essential packages to employees
Training and development are essential packages that need to be offered to employees as they determine their performance level. Training refers to the process of creating and delivering valuable information that people will use in their jobs. Development, on the other hand, refers to the process of learning interventions that make people better. There are two types of learners in the work environment:
Visual- These are learners that learn by seeing what is being taught
Audio- These are learners that learn what is being taught by listening
Kinesthetic- These are learners that out of practically handling what is being taught
The training tools include:
Analysis
This refers to the process of identifying employee needs and objectives.
Design
Identify the structure and resources
Development
This refers to the process of coming up with the relevant content that will be taught to the employees.
Implementation
This refers to the process of delivery of content
Evaluation
This refers to the process of measuring success.
Meaningful ideas
To ensure that the performance of employees in an organization changes, they need to be happy. Employees need to be passionate about the type of job that they are doing. 25% of the job performance is determined by IQ 75 % is determined by our brains. Therefore, even if an organization has smart employees, the Human Resource Management department should take its time to assess whether the employees are mentally stable. The level of success does not determine happiness that a person has been able to attain. It is determined by how human beings view life. That is the lens through which we look at life. Life has structured our brains to perceive the negative things that happen around us. However, we can start seeing growth from a different perspective by identifying three gratitudes in our day, journaling, exercise, meditation, and random acts of kindness.
Personal connecting
It is essential for one to be happy because there are many cases of people committing suicide while upon checking up on their lives, they are from well off families, they went to elite schools and got good scores, they got married to good spouses and had healthy relationships. These cases occur because these people are usually miserable on the inside, and therefore, life loses meaning to them. Consequently, it is essential for organizations to include occasions or weeks in between their calenders where both employees and employers will have an opportunity to air out their grievances so that it will be easy for them to identify troubled colleagues. This will also make it easy for the managers to organize how such staff might get help. In the long run, checking up on staff might save lives and improve organizational performance.
Change
I would ensure that every month there is a specific week allocated for staff to be scrutinized and asked by psychologists so that it will be easy for psychologists to identify if some are traumatized and if they are, what can be done. Furthermore, I would ensure that my organization is the type of organization that encourages learning. This will encourage employees to share their knowledge. I would also emphasize training employees that are currently employed by the organization as well as the new employees. Training the current employees will ensure that they are up to date with the new production methods, and it will also improve their skills. Training new employees will ensure that they are made familiar with the latest means of production.
