Tropical forests in the current world have become highly threatened by resenting human activities which have led to be deforestation taken to its extreme. This is highly occurring in the less developed states where most of the tropical forest have been turned in sources of livelihood to most of the people. This is done through burning charcoal, cutting firewood, logging and timber harvesting for local and commercial usage. It has led population venturing to the old-growth forest which takes hundreds of years to mature. The tropical forest serves a big purpose to ecosystem services and biodiversity is highly vested in the tropical forest. Destruction of the tropical forest harms our environment and has led to the rise of the carbon footprint as well as a change of our weather patens. It is important to raise stand ranged at which forest are maintain preventing them from destruction.

For instances, Amazon forest in Brazil, and tropical forest of Congo in the Democratic Republic of Congo serves a very vital Ecosystem serves such as carbon cycle. However, there has been a rising concern on the rate by which the forests have been cleared in the less developed state as the mode of economic transformation of developed states. Therefore, developed states need to support the effort of ensuring sustaining the remaining tropical forest. This can be done through incorporation of payment methods for the governments in less developed states to help in maintain tropical forest remaining.

Less developed nations use resources from the tropical forest for economic proposes therefore, the introduction of fund that lead the improvement of technologies that will create alternative methods for creation of economic recourses. This will help reduce the destruction and over-dependence on the tropical forest. When developed states provided fund to the less developed states it in forms of debts for nature swaps, support for the environmental-based organization and NGOs will improve the dependence on the tropical forest that are remaining.

For instances, the Green Belt Movement led by Nobel Prize winner Professor Wangari Maathai led to creating a win-win situation in Sub-Saharan Africa by encouraging women to practice Agro-forestry farming and plantation cultivation of tree to reduces dependence on tropical forest. This created a situation where women would get economic value from cultivation and sustenance of the forest while planting trees had a positive impact on the environment. This can be done to other places in the world by encouraging such initiatives that will promote production through different methods. Debts for nature swaps would help most of the NGOs to venture in the less developed states to venture in conservation practices in less developed states.

In such initiative, it will give an upper hand in protection of tropical forest in the less developed states. For instance, in a television series on wildlife showed the importance of Indonesian tropical forest which hold a large number of biodiversity. However, recent activity of enrapturing old-growth forest for timber and settlement leading to only 25% remaining of the original tropical forest. Tropical forest in DRC has been highly affected by war and high late deforestation which caused a high demand for charcoal, timber and logging of indigenous spices of trees. The world should focus on ensuring all the states have been promoted to protect the environmental maintenance e

Thanks to world environmental organization that are encouraging the local communities to focus on planting more tresses and ensuring second-growth forest. An alternative method is also being apprehended to ensure maintaining the remaining tropical forest. By the developed nation paying the less developed states for maintaining remaining tropical forest will have the benefit to both sides. This will be in a form such as the less developed state will have economic growth through funding and developed nation will be assured of longer endurance of the tropical forests and biodiversity.

However, funding may not be the only way which is needed to be implemented to ensure the tropical forest remains in less developed states. Other measures should also be implemented such as, less developed states should also put up strategies that will help to maintain the tropical forests. For instance, in Brazil, they enhanced laws that enable to protect the Amazon forest from illegal logging will help to retain the tropical forest. It should be the states solo responsibility to protect the tropical forest as it is the first recipient of the existing value of the tropical forest found in their land.

The market for hardwood, for instance, mahogany, oaks, maple, hickory, birch, beech cherry among others should be restricted. The high demand for this trees furniture should be controlled or sharply reduced or replaced by substitution with other material such as soy, boards as well as wood composite will help reduces the high demand. On the other hand communities in the less developed nation should be encouraged to use alternative softwood which takes less time to mature for construction. For instance, bamboo grows very fast and can be used for construction, fuel, fencing and decoration which can help reduce demand for the trees required in construction. This will help to ensure little disturbance to the tropical forest.

Finally, environmental education should be introduced in the learning system of less developed nation which will help for the future and the younger generation to understand the importance of protection of the environment. This will help also to raise awareness to promote and sensitize the natives of the less developed states the value of tropical forest in the sustained inability of the global environment.

Therefore, if the developed state can pay the less developed state to maintain the remaining tropical forest as well as ensuring laws have been put in place to protect the tropical forest, it will help to sustain the environmental cycle of the world.
