Task 1: Discussion
Using visual aids in revision is seen as an effective way of communication in education. Visual aids and graphics are used through pictures, graphs, figures, and mind maps to convey their message. The critical role of visual aid is that people learn more deeply from words and pictures rather than words. Hence, it remains an essential tool in communication and especially the presentation of technical writing. In this case, we discuss the merits and demerits of using graphs in communication. According to Evans, graphs provide significant benefits to a presentation, and that includes a quick provision of information related to comparisons and trends through a broader view of the provided data (5). In this regard, it allows the audience to be more versed with numerical analysis which mostly comes with technical research works. Secondly, graphs provide the visual option of the provided data which are helpful, especially for visual learners.
However, the demerits of using graphs are that the visual aid oversimplifies the data which may provide a misleading view of the study. Also, in an attempt to correct the graphs leads to more complexity and hence making the visual aid unhelpful. It is challenging to compile graphical data and present the information without prior knowledge, and this presents another disadvantage for visual assistance. The advice that I could give the writer on how to improve the graphics include not using the graphical aids alone but should include other aspects of presentation such as words. According to Li, having different ways of remembering data is through visualization and text (484). Another recommendation is that the writer should get the most out of the concept maps, which is a popular teaching and revision technique, where the learners contain several related concepts that add connecting phrases together. Also, using the right type of images helps the visuals to portray the process better than the use of texts.
Task 2: Graphics
The final report is about improving campus safety for students in evening classes. The project outlines the definitions, including the definition of what it means by campus safety as it relates to the students. One of the key objectives is determining how different the strategies are implemented to enhance the security of students on campus. Also, the merits and demerits of the various policies of how to improve the campus safety for the students in the evening classes will be analyzed. Although the preliminary study experienced delays and a waste of time, I found other ways of ensuring that I achieve the milestones that have been set for the particular section of the research. Hence the project is so far a success despite the difficulties experienced in time management. With this final report in mind, creating useful graphics is essential in presenting visual information about the data to the audience that will help them understand the trend better.

Image 1 is a visual aid that helps provide the students with a notice about there safety as a critical component of the success of the campus. Some of the crimes that the students should be aware of within their school environment include violence, burglary, robbery, theft, and sexual assault, among others.
