I encounter vocabulary challenges very often in most of my reading. I am not very good at English, and this contributes to the challenges I encounter when reading. In one of the reading task, I came across a very complex vocabulary. I did not understand the meaning and usage of the vocabulary. The vocabulary had been placed in a section of the section that gave it more than one meaning. This made it even more challenging for me to determine the most relevant meaning of the sentence. Every time I tried to think about the sentence and the different meanings, I became more confused. It was so challenging until I decided to check the different meanings of the vocabulary and its usage from the dictionary. This helped me get out of my very challenging situation.
After consulting the dictionary, I got the different meanings of the vocabulary. The challenge persisted because the different meanings of the vocabulary gave the sentence different meanings. All the meanings were relevant and grammatically correct. However, understanding the general text context helped me choose the most appropriate form of the sentence. I learned that vocabulary could have more than one meaning. Also, a sentence can have more than one meaning, depending on its punctuation and vocabulary placement. However, understanding the context of the sentence and using common knowledge to identify the context can ease the challenge. This helped me ease out of the challenging situation and get a more in-depth view of the reading. The knowledge has helped me overcome vocabulary challenges in class.
