Website Designing 2
Website Designing
The trends in information technology advancement have forced many businesses to move their services online to be able to compete for the global market. Creating a website doesn’t guarantee business for an organization since the website created may fail to deliver due to poor designing. The web designed, therefore, should act as a marketing tool for an organization and promote more sales through the online platform (Sharma, & Khandait,2016 p85). Some organizations have failed to fully exploit the benefits of online selling which are enjoyed by having a user- friendly website. Through this kind of website, the user has got ease in navigation within the website, and the website presentation depicts the value of services delivered.
On this assignment, we decided to consider an example of a website which we considered to have been designed below expectation. The website considered was, Theweddinglens website, the company deals with online photo sharing of weddings. The company gives an avenue for friends and relative to share photos for the wedding with the couple with the couple having to pay a fee to the company. The website presentation fails to depict the value and why customers should consider using their platform rather than the already existing social media platforms.
The website, however, can be re-designed to improve its functionality and user interface other services can also be included under the current package to make the spending on the website worthwhile. Allowing potential customers to browse over the photos of past events can entice them to consider using the company services, this is currently not possible. The proposed additional service is for the company to start providing photography services, through this, they will not only be used to store the memory but also in creating those memories.
