Writing and Research Obstacles
The writing and research obstacles that I have encountered include developing evaluative summaries, researching peer-reviewed journals as well as formatting written work using the APA method. Evaluative summaries were challenging in the sense that I could not get the hang of techniques in which I could explain the significant points of argument from the various literary sources. I also found it hard to navigate through the many peer-reviewed journal article sources so as to pick the best that would suit my writing and research. I could also miss some significant formatting aspects of the APA formatting, especially the manner in which I was supposed to place the various levels of headings and the mode of citations.
Nevertheless, I managed to master the hindrances through comprehensive practice. I reviewed previously written evaluative summaries and attempted to write them on my own on a regular basis. I consulted my classmates on how to conduct detailed research from profound peer-reviewed journal and article sources from the internet. I additionally consulted on the APA style of formatting and references so that I could master the way of structuring my work and citing of information using the APA style. Generally, it was a practice that helped me in dealing with the obstacles mentioned above.
I would advise my fellow students to research more and practice writing and research work. Writing and research generally require a lot of input in finding the information and expressing the concepts in a particular structure. Writing evaluative summaries can be easy if the writer analyzes, interprets, and critically examines the literary works.
