YOUR NURSING DESTINY.
The current nursing organization I participate with is the American Nurses Association. This is because this organization fosters high standards of nursing practice, advocates for professional nursing, and promotes professional development. Furthermore, the American Nurses Association also collaborates with other nursing associations to facilitate access to quality health care to the community, thus improving the patient outcomes. In the future, I hope to join the American Association of Nurse Practitioners when I finish pursuing my master’s degree. Since the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, it provides nurse practitioners with a unified way of network and advocates their issues. Another thing is that when I join these associations, I need to get more experience in my job and achieve my goals as a nurse. (Williams, 2018).
The nursing certifications that I consider are Oncology Certified Nurse ( OCN) these are because the nurse must prove their competency in oncology by showing proof of experience of the work within the last four years. As a nurse, you should be able to validate your skills and knowledge in oncology. There are several things that I have kept in my mind that help me use my nursing degree to fit in my plans, and they include: joining a working committee so that I can participate fully and have passion for my job so that I can achieve my goals and dreams. Sign up for meetup.com. This one will help me connect with other groups of people in the area that arranges the activities based on a specific interest and learn new things from other people and try to apply them in my career so that I can share out with others. Also, focusing on a particular field of the study which will help me to become more competitive in the field of nursing. (Alessio et al., 2020).
