What side of the argument (stance) do you take on this topic? In the issue of prevention, since most of the spread is done through sexual intercourse, I prefer people to be using latex condoms during sexual activities. Additionally, the testing should be done more frequently for people to know about their HIV statuses.

What strong points does the other side of this topic have? The other side of choosing the prevention mechanism argues that abstinence or the limited number of sexual partners is the way to go in dealing with HIV/ AIDS prevention.

What were the three most important things you took away from the topic?
1. In the current world, there are many tools available that can aid in the prevention of this disease. 2. It is always safe for an individual to invest in his prevention mechanism. 3. HIV prevention is a possible issue that can be done by employing the stated prevention mechanisms.

Which ethical theory (of the six approved ones ONLY – Kant; Act Utilitarianism; Rule Utilitarianism; Care Ethics; Virtue Ethics; and Social Contract) would you apply to this topic to defend your stance? Explain fully. 250 words.
There are the key terms that are used in this reflection: Healthcare is the improvement that is done or maintaining health through its treatment, diagnosis, cure, or prevention of injuries, diseases, or illnesses. Professionals deliver it. v Animal research refers to the use of non-human species in experiments with the aim of controlling the desired biological test. v Public health refers to the health of the population as a whole. It deals with hygiene, epidemiology, and disease prevention criteria. v Stem cells are cells that can differentiate into a specialised type in the body. v Euthanasia is the termination of the life of a person due to the degree of illness. In this reflection, the scientific approaches that have been deployed to enable the preventive mechanism are discussed.
The ethical theory that the reflection is approached from is on the Virtue Ethics. The approach highly emphasizes on the character of an individual. It does not base on deontology either on the consequences. The evidence is all based on the fact that prevention is best maintained from an inner character. The choice that people make is highly influenced by the nature of an individual, thus the pro side of this ethical theory. The stance being ethical means it is in line with the set ethos of the virtue ethics
To sum up: A reflection is needed in human understanding. From the set topic, HIV/AIDS prevention is approached differently. From the discussion that is made herein, there is, therefore, evidence that virtue ethics theory is all critical facet of the ethical theory in determining the prevention.
